Mandalas can be used for a host of functions, including:

Interactive teaching tools for younger students – used as individual online templates or as hands-on mandala-making materials.

Goal-setting/ creative expression applications for older students.

‘Mind-savers’ for teachers seeking new outlets for planning or relaxation.

Individual story-telling, particularly helpful to those challenged by the written word

I've just received my mandala and I love it - thank you!
I love the colours, the design and the meaning.

Margie’s Mandalas have brought this spiritually wonderful art form to us all, and I for one thank her!

Health

Mandalas are finding their way into hospitals as part of their wholistic healing regimes.

Patients can view a series of examples which can help them in relaxation and recovery – and can assist in providing a focus for their future paths to good health.

Mandalas in print and DVD formats are being supplied on demand.

Six months ago we positioned Margie’s mandala (drawn specifically for our 5 year old daughter at the end of her bed. When she's overly grumpy we tell Jemma to sit on the bed, calm down and look at the pattern that Margie did especially to help her be less angry.

Since then she's had less tantrums, which may be due to her focus on that calming mandala. We also took her to a psychiatrist that talked pop-psychology to us - we've tried many things, and anything that can help is good. The mind is powerful and so much is unknown.

Different things work for different people, there are various ways to train the mind, and meditation (calming focus) is known to be very beneficial, even in orthodox medical literature. We think that a mandala can be good for children because it gives them something to meditate on: a calm pattern that in some genuinely caring way reflects them. We all know life follows many patterns, who is to say that an
intuitive compassionate person cannot derive a pattern for someone like a painter can paint a portrait.

Personal/Relationship

Those seeking ways of reaching fresh understanding of their relationship within themselves and with others – the colourful visual symbols break through the ‘mind chatter’.

A mandala can play an important role here.

It ‘talks’ to you in a language beyond words… gently manoeuvring around the mindblocks … and opens the heart to receive new intelligence.

Inspiring you to new perceptions, your mandala’s visual symbols rekindle your inner strength – enabling you to forge new ways of Being. As you change, others make the shifts accordingly.

Created as a unique image for that person or couple, the personally-drawn mandala is delivered ready for framing.

Susan (mother) and Rebecca (14) came last night to collect their mandalas. Hers was a very 'odd' looking one - she blinked and said 'well that bit's right - (pointing to a central column) - my congestion cleared almost instantly and I knew something was different. It never happens like that. I get congested when I’m under a lot of stress. (it cleared the day i drew the mandala). It was a powerful geometric one - she's delighted and excited.

Rebecca remarked about the personal letter I give in addition to the mandala : i received 'something's niggling you way back there, talk to it'. 'This bit's right, something IS niggling me'. Then her face lit up - as if to say 'wow, these women are getting it right!'

THEN they became really animated. BOTH said they can feel shifts but can't put a finger on it yet. Rebecca was beaming - definitely happier - Susan was animated, saying she could feel changes in her already.

Corporate

In the spirit of ‘brainstorming’, mind maps, brand development and ‘big picture’ planning, use the mandala as a valuable business tool – the business minds of innovative entrepreneurs tap into deeper reserves of creative thinking.

What are your corporate values? How do you want to be described? If your business was expressed visually in a symbol, what would it look like?

Beyond the surface layer of corporate logos… beyond brand messages… the development of a mandala engages the spirit of the business, the energy of its people and the appeal of its products and services.

As the world wakes up to the new culture of truly clean corporate practice and real ‘triple bottom line’ business operations, the responsible and visionary mandala-makers will continue forging ahead of the less enlightened.

Mandalas – are they part of your strategic plan?

Mandalas and the Corporate Mind

(1) From a calmer state of mind comes 'best' decisions re personal and public life.

(2) A workplace mandala contributes to a peaceful, harmonious and productive work environment (on the walls, on computers as screensavers or 'Mind-Savers"). It encourages creative and healthy energy. Work teams achieve more than they expect because their minds and bodies are calmer and visually nourished.

(3)  Attaching a business mandala to a brand, service or product can add another level of interest, intrigue and integrity (with its spiritual, wholistic component).

The Board of Directors met last night and I presented your beautiful card to them. They were absolutely delighted with it and the fact that you went to so much trouble to note your support for the launch and apology for inability to attend.

They have asked me to have the card mounted and framed with both the design and staff signatures displayed.
